| Weight: 554 grams, BCS: 2.0 ------------- PHYSICAL EXAM FINDINGS ---------------- Attending Veterinarian: Dr. Katherine Gerken Observational examination Mentation: BAR Posture: upright Overall appearance: appears in good condition Vital stats Heart rate: 220 Respiratory rate: 20 Auscultation: normal thorughout lung fields, no murmur or arrhythmia noted Mucous membranes: pink, few strands Hydration: <5% Oral cavity: clean, oral cavity free of debris and hemorrhage Choana: wnl Glottis: wnl Beak: wnl Cere/nares: wnl Eyes: PLR wnl, fundic exam WNL Ears: clean, no debris or hemorrhage Crop: empty Feather quality: excellent Integument: no apparent lesions Wings - Range of motion: full Wings - Patagium: intact Legs/Feet - Range of motion: left pelvic limb is mildly weaker than left with slower proprioception and grip (seems okay when not being challenged but definitely has weakness on the left side) Legs/Feet - Plantar surface: both plantar surface have green tinge to them Legs/Feet- Talons: wnl Neurologic: decreased tone in left pelvic limb Ceolom: no organomegaly or masses or pain on palpation BCS: 2 Vent: clean Droppings: not observed Uropygial gland: wnl Problem list: 1. Reduced tone in left pelvic limb 2. Underconditioning Diagnosis: 1. Open for myopathy or neuropathy in left pelvic limb Assessment: Has good wing strength bilaterally and appears visual. Should be releasable but warrants rads of the pelvis and some extra weight gain. Plan: Tx: none at this time feed 50 g SID Dx: rads when HPAI returns, swabbed choana and cloaca for HPAI Prognosis: Fair
